OVERVIEW

Mr. Morris' preferred specialization is the development/support of the more esoteric "system-type" applications for MVS, utilizing Assembler (ALC). Many projects have involved the development of "systems level" utilities for use by applications programmers to enable them to incorporate specialized functions into the applications in a "black box" fashion. Other efforts were implemented as self-managing, fault-tolerant, stand-alone systems, accessible from applications systems.

A selected list of the tools in Mr. Morris' repertoire includes:

- multi-tasking applications

- Started Tasks

- Client Server

- MVS Extended Addressability (AR-mode) for cross-address space

communications

- Image Capture/Manipulation/Transform/Printing

- real-time VTAM program-to-program communications (APPC and LU 6.1)

- TCP/IP (MVS) communications

- PSF/MVS exits

- MO:DCA, AFPDS, and TIFF architectures

- OAM and DB2

- MQ Series for MVS

- ISPF Dialog Manager

For the last ten years, Mr. Morris has been supporting multiple, concurrent, clients on either an ongoing, part-time or short-term basis. Due to the need to be available to multiple clients and to ensure that each client is billed only for productive hours, most work has been performed offsite.
